About CEMK:
The College of Engineering And Management, Kolaghat was established in the year 1998.
The college had started with three branches. Those were Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. Later on two more branches were added, namely Information Technology and Electronics &Communication Engineering. Initially, CEMK was under the Vidyasagar University. West Bengal University of Technology has undertaken it since 2001. This institute has a large number of experienced and good faculties along with great lab facilities The College is accredited by AICTE and NBA.The passed out students of this institute are employed in many renowned companies. Some of them have completed their M. Tech. and are pursing further studies. CEMK has been able to fulfill its goal of providing responsible engineers to the society.

Location:
The college is situated at Kolaghat Township at the junction of NH-6 & NH-41 near the thermal power plant. In Purba Midnapore. It is one and half hr distance from Kolkata by bus. By South Eastern railway, Mecheda railway station is the nearest.
SPANDAN:
SPANDAN, the fest, is celebrated by the cemk family every year. It is a three days occasion. Renowned artists perform here. The college students as well as the outsiders also perform in it. Inter college quiz, solo song, choreography and fun game competitions are organized. This fest is celebrated by three days. Here a brief description of previous two years fest is given.
SPANDAN2006:
Prof. J. K. Das, director of the college inaugurated the fest by lighting candles followed by the speech of the dignitaries. Mainly students and faculty members of this institute performed in the first day. The night wa
s ended by a D.J.Night.... 
Second day was started by the inter college quiz competition in which many other colleges(like: HIT, Uluberia Engineering College etc.)took part with CEMK students. This day also some intra college student programs were included. But the main attraction of this night was Shreya Ghoshal, the national awarded famous singer. She touched everyone's heart by the song "DO LA RE" (of film Devdas) with the other songs. Inter college choreography, solo song competitions were the first two events of third day morning. The fourth year students and the alumni’s performed at afternoon. The final event of the final day for fest was bangla band "FOSSIL"s performance. To the Cultural G.S. that was not only the end of "SPANDAN2006" but also the beginning of "SPANDAN2007".

Hi friends this is time to enjoy. The preparation of our fest SPANDAN 2007 is started. In 2006 we have brought Shreya Ghoshal, bangla band Fossils. In 2005 Binod Rathore & Bhoomi were main outside performers. Except them our college students performed also. During fest inter college quiz, choreography, solo song etc. competitions are organized. For organizing this fest some contributions are needed. Those who are interested
